Our Process
- Identify needs and opportunities - in partnership with the Israel Ministry of Health, the Israeli Association of Emergency Medicine, and individual department leaders
- Make connections - matching department needs with experienced volunteer specialists from our MiluEM network
- Coordinate Volunteer Deployments - supporting MiluEM volunteers with medical licensing, logistics, travel stipends and more
- Nurture long term partnerships - via repeated deployments, international networking efforts, joint professional development seminars, mentorship programs and more
- Why Choose Us
Partner with Us
Join our growing network of EM volunteers to get matched with one of Israel’s Emergency Departments for an initial period of at least two weeks. Your volunteer service will include a combination of site-dependent clinical and educational roles. This initial deployment will serve as a foundation for further support roles in the months and years that follow.
A typical 2-week MiluEM volunteer deployment entails:
- Working 8 - 10 emergency department shifts
- Delivering 3 - 5 educational workshops and lectures
- Training and mentoring medical students and residents
- Exploring opportunities for international academic collaborations
- Learning about Israeli medical innovations and expertise
- Building meaningful personal and professional connections
Help support our volunteer efforts. 100% of funds raised through this website go directly towards MiluEM travel grants that enable our volunteers to show up and be of service.
